Nan is an Experienced - Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. She began practicing yoga in 1998. In 2007 she began teaching to share the ancient wonders of yoga and help students incorporate its timeless teachings into their modern lives. Nan teaches yoga with an uplifting, down-to-earth and enthusiastic approach that reflects the way she approaches life. By practicing with attention and playfulness, she believes yoga can bring peace and a constant sense of discovery into our lives. She firmly believes that anyone and everyone can practice some form of yoga and teaches with a compassionate and competent knowledge of safety and modification options. Her classes are challenging, inspiring and dedicated to helping others experience the joys of yoga and conscious living.

Nan received her Hatha Yoga certification in 2007 at The Bodhi Tree in Charlotte, NC; she completed Spring & Fall 2008 Yoga Therapy Intensives at Duke Integrative Medicine in Durham, NC and participated as a lead instructor in a 6 week research project under the supervision of Duke Integrative Medical Center which explored "the effects of a yoga practice on non-specific back pain". She is also certified in Vinyasa Flow Yoga by Stephanie Keach of Asheville, NC and Yin Yoga by Sarah Powers of San Francisco, CA.

In 2011 Nan went through an Anusara Immersion with Sarah Faircloth of Charlotte, NC and completed the Carolina Yoga Teacher Training based on Anusara Yoga Methodology at The Bindu in Cornelius, NC.

She remains a devoted student of all things yoga and is interested in the value of what every method offers. Although her style is ever evolving she currently teaches an alignment based flow yoga, she is passionate about her personal practice and hopes to inspire & encourage others.
